Generalities

Penalties

Offenses against these Rules can lead, depending on the case, to a permanent ban of the game.

For really unsocial behaviour (like right-wing comments) you will be permanently banned and we may appeal to court.

Deep Thought

Deep Thought is a non-commercial, private testserver and not a official realm of Blizzard Entertainment.

This project has no relation with Blizzard Entertainment.

Account

Account owner is the person who owns the password or rather the e-mail address. With the "Forgot your password?" feature you can recover your password.

The account owner has to make sure the password doesn't get into possession of a third person.

Naming

The use of vulgar, sexitst, pornographic and racist names is forbidden.

It's also forbidden to imitate members of the staff.

Image Upload

Rules for the Image Upload:

The Image Upload at Deep Thought is totally free for members!

The user is obligated to not upload pornographic, racist, sexist, anti-Semitic images or images which break legal copyright or the German Law in other ways.

In any offense images will be deleted without warning!

Every time you upload an image we store the accountname and the IP-address so that we can forward the IP-address to an public authority at any offense!

Deep Thought is not resposible for any images.

Deep Thought is trying to delete forbidden images as soon as possible.

Accountsharing

Giving your account data or your account to a third person is forbidden.

Logging in as a third person is forbidden.

Playing with a third person's account is forbidden.

Writting an application for a third person is forbidden.

Character Claim

You can not claim the ownership and the values of your characters.

The character is the rightful ownership of Deep Thought.

Extension of the Rules

In case of misfeatures which aren't discussed in these rules the Server Administration retains the rights to extend these rules.

Approval

With creating an account on Deep Thought you accept all of the rules and you are responsibility for your account.

Furthermore you have be up-to-date about the change of rules.

Behaviour

Blocking

Blocking of objects or creatures (mailboxes, gryphon masters) by hiding these things with your character is forbidden.

It also forbidden to make it harder for other players to interact with creatures or objects.

Killing NPCs of the opposing fraction is not included in this rule.

Social Behaviour

It is advised to be cooperative to new players because their experience with the game is not that high. If arrangements between players which require a reward of the initiator do not come true the contractor has to refund it.

The enchanting of items with costs, the manufacturing of products in exchange with the needed materials and the general assistance in the game do belong to these arrangements.

If it isn't possible for what ever reason to achieve the arrangement you have to provide compensation. In case both parties can't make a compromise a neutral member of the Server Administration will decide about the rate and the typ. If the compensation is not provided the injured has the right to claim the enforement and the exclusion of the other person.

Communication

The communication between all players should be cultivated and polite.

The insult of other players and offensive statements about the staff are forbidden.

Flooding

Flooding the chat with messages or emotes is forbidden.

Insults

Insults against players in unexpected ways is forbidden. Of course it is allowed to use emotes like /rude etc.

In relation with staff members the use of offensive emotes is forbidden.

This is true for players of your own fraction but also for players of the offensive fraction and specially for all other parts of the Deep Thought Community.

Imitating of the Staff

Imitating of staff members is forbidden.

Also if you impersonate yourself as Game Master or other members of the staff.

Bugusing and Cheating

Bugs

Our members obligate themselves to report bugs the Server Administration.

Cheating with Hacks

The use of programms which affect the game in a way the Server Administration doesn't support it are forbidden.

Bugusing

The exploitation of errors in the game mechanism is avenged with penalties to the point of a permanent ban.

If the bug has been used but was not reported to the Server Administration it is a particular braking of rules.

Even if the bug has been reported before and you encouter the same bug you have to report it again to the Deep Thought Team so that they can react to the bug more quickly.
